I’ve been creating some sort of art ever since I could remember. My first canvases were the walls of my parents house, and they were less than supportive of my creativity. I would agree that my stick figure murals were a little primitive but I think that they effectively conveyed my message.
Later, I found my father’s camera and used the cat as my model. I was caught the minute he got the film back and was in trouble for using his camera, but was in more trouble for putting my Mother’s blush on the cat. The cat seemed fine with all of it.
Since that time, I’ve lived many lives, mostly in the corporate world. However, I don’t think that I’ll ever go back to that as long as I have the will to fight and a camera to work with. I’m a full time, professional photographer who has worked in the US, Europe and Central America. I love photographing people, the nuances of their expressions, and the creativity that seems to emerge from them when they work with me. It keeps me believing that this is what I’m meant to do.
To live your life in self expression is the only way to grab a small piece of the fabric of the Universe and make it your own.
